WEEK 1

Learned about what is art, creativity, the difference between looking and seeing and also different kinds of Art, also took a look at some art pieces like ‘a smokebackstage’by William Harnett which is called a trompe l’oeil (fool the eye) realistic painting and also a painting of a pipe with an inscription underneath the pipe saying ‘this is not a pipe’ by Rene Magritte, but a painting of a pipe. Jordan also mentioned an art, and crafts event happening in De Pere Wisconsin called an art walk were people can buy and sell artwork. There is also something similar that happens every Saturday till Sept. 27th and Phoenix Park called the Artist Market which is being founded by Tangled up in hue, a store on Barstow street that sells local art to the public and helps local artists.

Also made a name tag for class.
