WEEK 2
Art can be anything, anywhere you look. How can one tap into this
idea, what goes on in their brains? Can one achieve this as well? Of course,
one just has to have the right drive and initiative to move forward and go
against the grain of todays society of "you won’t earn any money doing
that." "why don't you pick a degree that will give you money." I
believe that money isn't everything, I have no use for it except to pay bills (and
art supplies :p), if I had a choice of needing money and not, I would choose to
live my life money free, because I noticed the more money people earn, the more
greedy they become. I don't wish to go down that path, I would rather live my
life than go through the stages of it.
This week in class we discussed the nature of art, and also took a look and a piece of artwork that hangs over Phoenix AZ called Her name is patients by Janet Echleman who got the inspired to make it by the Saguro cactus. We also went over what can be a work of art, which is a visual expression through the use of a medium. Creativity can be a new ability to bring forth something new that has value, it is can also be a new way of thinking and has the potential to influence the future though or action.
